Tuscan Treasures Tours provides upscale, small group, escorted tours through the heart and soul of Tuscany, in the Val d’Elsa. Unlike other tours, which visit only the most popular and crowded sites of the region's capital city of Florence, we guide you along the roads less traveled to savor authentic Tuscany, without the crowds and the rush. The Val d’Elsa extends through the Provinces of Florence, Siena, and Pisa, and spans five ancient eras: Etruscan, Roman, Carolingian, Medieval and Renaissance. Its medieval castles, Romanesque churches, Gothic abbeys, Renaissance palaces, historical estates and country farmhouses are set amid rolling hills, bountiful vineyards and silver olive groves. Bordered by the sea to the west and mountains to the east and north, this territory was a fulcrum of Medieval and Renaissance culture and knowledge. The Elsa Valley was and is a magical place of human advancement where great thinkers, such as Galileo and Da Vinci, realized scientific discoveries; literary giants, such as Dante and Boccacio, were inspired to write their masterpieces; and celebrated artists, such as Giotto, Gozzoli and Michelangelo, achieved their greatest works of art. It remains an enchanting oasis of unparalleled beauty, where Nature & Man have woven a harmonious tapestry like no other place.

Our dream is to share with you the pastoral bounty of the countryside, and the cultural jewels of the smaller cities and villages which lie between the magnificent cities of Florence, Siena and Pisa.
